I'm going in Sept '23 or May of '24, trying to decide when. Plains game and will be our first trip. Myself and the wife.

With the May date if it is later you’ll be hitting the Kudu rut.

So, where do you carry your loot on the trip ?
In your shoe, carry on, etc ?
Do you tip in USD, or Rand ?
Was it easy to wire money, to pay remainder of trip and extra dues ?
Do they take USD in Doha at the airport ?

I carried a very sizeable sum of cash on my last trip in a waist band that was specifically made for carrying money. bought it at a luggage store.
I have always tipped in dollars no matter where.
The last time I wired money, it took right at ONE MONTH to get it from here to J'oberg!
Not sure, I tipped in dollars so the guys were happy, put stuff I bough on a CC!

We tipped in dollars. I believe it was 18 Rands equals one US dollar exchange rate. Carried most of my cash in my backpack,
had a few $ in shirt pockets small bills for tips. When we were out hunting all day kept my cash under the foam in my locked gun case in my room with my passport in there also.

Oh yea on the way back to the airport we stopped at Safari Land
kind of their version of bass pro shops. Pretty cool store.
