I have only seen one and it was in Del Rio. Not saying this applies to the people on this site but when people say "I see red foxes all the time" I show them a picture of a grey fox and they say "yeah those, see the red on their belly"? and then I tell them they saw a grey fox with a little bit of red colored fur on them.

I have seen a decent amount in Anderson County over many years. Just saw one that was road kill a few days ago.

I’ve got/had a bunch around my place. They are splattered all over the road in front of my house. I’m assuming they are eating bugs on the highway or something…. Cause they ain’t to “traffic savvy”. Seen 2 greys in the past year which I hadn’t seen here since the early 90’s

Several years ago we had a lease SE of Goldthwaite in Mills County and there were LOTS down there. I'd love to find an abandoned kit to raise.

We had family of greys living in our hay barn here. You'd see them at random times of the day. We are right on the edge of town, so close I have to pick my dove shots very carefully. Anyway there was a house just across the main loop that had chickens. Every one of those foxes got killed on the road right there in front of that house with chickens.

I've seen less than a handful of greys around here and never a red. The only red I've seen was on the north edge of town in Tishomingo.

Only seen reds in areas mostly devoid of coyotes, and it’s been quite while.

We have several reds around the house. I haven’t seen a gray in years.

We had one that used to hang around the tenth hole at the Brenham Country Club.

They seem to be found in pockets at least from central Tx thru east Tx into south La. Seems to be more associated with farming communities where there are a mix of thickets and fields, and also in residential areas. Have a couple that roam my neighborhood in Tyler (along with greys and coyotes).
