Yep, mom & sis had some last weekend. My mom said they were almost $8 per pound, which is shockingin NOLA area but as noted prices drop as the season kicks into high gear. As many here, I could care less what they cost.......it is worth it!!!
May do a half sack this weekend during football games........ALL MINE!!!

A fun fact: "Commercial sales of crawfish in Louisiana began in the late 1800s. At that time, crawfish were harvested from natural waters through-out the southern region of the state. The first record of a commercial crawfish harvest in the United States was in 1880. That year, a harvest of 23,400 pounds was recorded, with a value of $2,140. By 1908, a U.S. Census report listed Louisiana’s crawfish production at 88,000 pounds, with a value of $3,600."
I don't know how the dollar conversion from that time error would compare to prices today, but 4 to 9 cents per pound is a long ways from $7+ per pound. My great grandparents & grandparents were part of the local unaccounted poundage's as it was part of survival living on a plantation until the early 1980s in St. James Parish.
