C57 is just a build part number. It means capacitor 57, which is funny because its not really a capacitor.

Are there any markings on the actual battery? Some can be recharged and others just last for a while then die. The two aren’t interchangeable.

As for soldering wires on, they are cheap enough to order with the leads on mouser without needing to worry about that. Just trying to narrow down the voltage and package. Some measurements of the actual battery and distance between the legs at the board would help.

Guess I got lucky I used the same soldering iron but I had my safety glasses on just in case. My camera is still working and it holds the setting when changing battery's instead of going back to 2015.

I can't see a marking of any sort on the battery. I'll try and find a good magnifying lens.

Also the approximate diameter and pitch between the headers or leads.

              What does "pitch" mean?
The top tab is offset to solder onto the board right next to the bottom one.

Pitch is component size/pad spacing. Yours looks like a standard .6mm pitch.

I admire your effort but wouldnt it be easier to replace the camera? lots of places have them on clearance right now.

                  Just doing a little exploring.
Doesn't seem all that difficult to me, so far.

                    Ok, late follow up.
There are no markings on the battery. Diameter is 6.7mm and thickness is 1.45mm.

                      Maybe 6.8mm, nominally.
