Wife decided to cook those redfish I caught on the skillet, white rice, and fresh Squash from the neighbors garden. Turned out pretty dang good.

We got back last night, didn't fish anymore but thought this pic of my new fishing hole where we got the trout the other day was nice enough to post. Bonus shot of some hogs who were watching me cut some tin out back Sunday night.

No pics, but a few of us did an evening/night wade on sunday night in East Matty. We picked up a few trout and I caught a few good reds, but it was a grind. Mosquitoes were tough after dark, and somehow none of us had spray! I'm still itching.

Doug and I went kingfishing. Had 4 crank baits. I saw this little fish swimming a weedline and tied on a trout lure that was sitting on the console. Broke the gaff- had to grab him under the gills. Little over 67# on the scale at Dolphin Docks. We had a bag of ice for ice tea spent about 10 minutes fishing before hooked up and back to the house.

Too hot, Feb/Mar are pig freezer filling time. Also the 4 wheeler I'd retrieve them with rusted through a steering arm and broke it so it's out of commission, I ain't walking back there or yall will be seeing more snake bite pics.

Fished the Pipeliners tournament out of Port A this past weekend.

I fished 3 days and caught numerous limits of trout up to 22”, let go a lot in the 18”-20” range which felt really good. Caught tons of 15-16” trout. Couldn’t get into the reds nor get a heavy black drum to eat a crab.

I did catch some giant stone crabs in my trap. Never did take a pic of the fish though.

3 weekends in a row of hard fishing. I’m good for a while
