    Christmas Dinner Tradition

What are some of yalls christmas dinners that you do every year?

    #2
Christmas Eve is always Mexican food or BBQ because we used to have a lot of family Texans from out of state come in and wanted Texas style of those two.

Christmas used to be like Thanksgiving with turkey and dressing but we have ventured over into a rib roast/prime rib the last several years.

Usually the same as Thanksgiving except we have ham instead of turkey. Not sure about this year.

My mom has been making her homemade lasagna as long as I can remember. We have it once a year and it’s awesome!

This year will be different as it’ll only be me and my bride but we’ll make the usual stuff we have as a big family

Tamales shipped from TX (extras to last for a couple weeks), green bean casserole, sweet potato pie, chili, poppers, Turkey, ham, cheese ball

Fried shrimp on Christmas. My Papaw owned a shrimp boat and provided fresh seafood in town for years. Osgood Seafood in Baytown. We did a traditional Thanksgiving but saved the good stuff for Christmas. Even though he is gone, I try to keep it going with my kids.

I drive through Humble as fast as I can, cutting donuts in the Jade Palace parking lot and egging cop cars at the police station. Catch me if you can.......

Party food on Christmas Eve. Choice rib roast on Christmas day with plenty of mashed potatoes, salad, hot rolls, and pie.

Growing up it was always crab and/or shrimp gumbo. When I started my family it changed to duck and/or goose and jambalaya. These days we will have a different theme every year. This year it will be oriental.
