Congratulations to your daughter. Our daughter graduated from their nursing program two years ago.

There are quite a few nice places in Lubbock to eat. I don't remember the names of the places we ate at on our many trips up there.

One of the last times were were there, we ate at Cajun restaurant, called Razoo's Cajun Cafe. I think it's a chain restaurant, it's not great Cajun food, but it's pretty good. There is another Cajun restaurant in town, we were supposed to go to, but did not get to, because of Covid. I know the first few times were were there, we ate near the college, there was a pretty good steak house we ate at once or twice, may have been Triple J Chop house. There was some Mexican restaurant we ate at a few times, but I don't remember the name.

We heard of multiple other places that are supposed to be very good, but we did not get to try those.

Las Brisas for fancy, Triple J is good also. Many of the good places have been mentioned.

One I haven’t seen mentioned here is Dirks. Dam* good chicken place, which is weird hearing me say. It’s a fancier gourmet style chicken joint owned by the chef that owns the West Table. However they will be slammed and reservations will be required to actually get in over graduation weekend.

Been a few years since our youngest daughter graduated from TTU's nursing program. She was there when Mahomes was slinging the ball around for the Red Raiders. (She's currently in Dallas at TWU working on her nurse prac). Appears that since she is a Tech nurse, she has been highly regarded and actually preferred over other possible candidates on the couple of occasions she has made a change in her career. But while she was going to school in Lubbock, I did spend quite a bit of time there over those 3 1/2 years and there are several good places to eat there.
Here goes in no particular order:
Triple J's great steaks & big potatoes, onion rings with brew pub $$ ( world famous Blue Light dive bar is right across the street).
Italian Garden (down town) good Italian place $$ - bring your own wine.
              Abuelo's really good mexican/tex food $-$$.
Las Brisas is probably the best restaurant in the panhandle - $$$-$$$$ but pricey. reservations a must.
Pancake House has really good breakfast menu but always busy - off the Marsha Sharpe and Ave Q for breakfast $-$$.
Several other kinda run of the mill places (names are changed but the foods the same) with decent food.

              Good luck,
Congratulations to you and your daughter.

I don’t recall seeing this on the menu; but then, it’s easily been five or more years since I’ve been to Lubbock.

                        Sounds delicious , though.
