But a brief summary is-practically any oil you can find, that meets the manufacturers specifications will work just fine. For about any brand of oil you can think of, somebody has posted Used Oil Analysis results that showed that oil was just fine when tested AFTER a 'normal' usage cycle. Pretty much all of the 'brand X is great but brand Z is awful' is just not true.
With that in mind, the cheapest synthetic I can find is what I use.
Conventional oils are a little more 'gasket friendly' than synthetics. The 'high mileage' oils probably include some ingredient that helps gaskets to 'swell' more than regular oils, to help combat worn out gaskets.
