I had 2 that had the solar panels (think I paid 179 each…), worked great for one season. Never could get them to work again after. Round and round with customer service, they refused to send me new ones or give a credit, nothing. Needless to say I won’t buy them again and will tell everyone of my experience lol

Mine have worked fine for a year, but I bought them before I read the mostly bad reviews.

Run away. Trash cameras that require lots of maintenance.

Here's a review that I posted on the Academy website last week for the SPYPOINT Link-Micro-S 10.0 MP Cellular Trail Camera. It's very similar to the one you're asking about justletmein, except it has the solar battery.

                It worked! For a month.

Set up the new camera on Nov. 6, 2022 and lo and behold it worked. I would receive photos on my phone as they were taken, just as advertised. The photos stopped coming on Dec. 1 (I'm paying the $10 a month plan). Drove two hours to deer camp on Dec. 4 to try to address the issue in the field. Turned the camera off, then back on. A moment later my phone received all of the photos from the past three days when the camera quit sending them. For the next several minutes I verified that the camera was taking images and transmitting them to my phone.

Everything seemed to be back to normal. Photos were coming in so I mounted the camera back to where it will take photos of my feeder setup.

Great news--the camera was working again!

But, not so fast my friends! After seven hours, the camera quit sending pictures.

Contacted Spypoint chat on Dec. 5. Battery is fully charged, firmware is current, SD card is to spec and only a month old. After describing the problem I was told that they can't address or troubleshoot any of the issues until I get the camera back home with wifi, internet access, etc.

So I've got this expensive camera out in the field that failed after a month of use. Now I'll have to retrieve it (it's two hours away) and deal with customer service once again. It seems that Spypoint has major quality control issues. They ought to quit selling defective products until they can improve the quality of their product. IF they can improve their quality.

(Needless to say, I won't be buying a Spypoint product again.)

I had a link- micro that worked for about two years.. it seemed like it was a good camera... back in august when we got some downpours it quit working. when i got down to the ranch it had water in area where batteries were, never worked after that. couple weeks later i bought a "flex" it worked for about a month and quit. i took it back to academy and got my money back. soooo...
of the two i bought, one is in the trash and other got returned.

I don't know if I'm just getting lucky or you guys are just doing something wrong! I have had 5 of them going for years and the only issue I've had is that the old 3G models do not transmit anymore but they gave me a credit for them and I bought new ones. Really easy to use, cheap, they do drain batteries but if you set them to transmit 6 times per day and use lithium then I can get them to last 2 months without changing. The picture quality transmitted is not great but if there's something you want to get a better look at then you can request an HD photo and it comes in as clear as any camera.

I had bought four of them last year when they went on sale. Now I only have one left that will still send pictures after multiple calls to customer service.
