Been getting pics at night, absolutely nothing in the day. No pics last night.night before? A lot of movement, 2 new bucks moved in, one is a pure monster.

Been hunting public land this year. Now the leaves are off the trees my chances have gone way way down. May dig hole and lay in it because that’s about all that will hit the ground out there this year for me.

Tons of acorns, so they are pretty hard to pin down right now. That being said, bucks are still making/visiting scrapes. If you find a scrape line, set up along that and you should be in the action. A cold front would surely help your odds though.

I didn’t want to use a crossbow but at this point ground hunting the “no drawl” could make the difference. Found some low spots off a few trails but to get down the in low enough but then to draw on a deer wasn’t very likely. Possible but not likely.
