I shot mine last week with a 6.5 and I aimed low on the front shoulder, clean pass through and ran 10 yards, it also left good blood trail. I shot it with 142gr Hornady Precision Hunter.

Exactly the same set up and reaction I had when I shot mine up in the Ft. Davis mountains. Absolute blast. I was told to prepare for 300yr shot, got mine at 40yrds, sure could have killed him with my bow but it didn't lessen the adventure.

I hit it through both shoulders with a 6.5, no blood - and it went about 100 yards without ever acting like it was even hit. Took me an hour to find it. I have hammered a dozen deer w/ that rifle, but those Aoudads must be built like freight trains.

Shot my first on this past Sunday as well. Watched quite a few videos of them being shot and they don't seem to react to a shot like a deer does. Just kind of walk away from it. Shot mine with a 300 grain solid from 45-70 pistol running 1,860 fps. Direct front shoulder hit. Walked about 30 yards and laid down. Clean pass-thru with bullet but little blood other than where he laid down.
