    Drone deer recovery

Stumbled on the YouTube page and this is going to really take off I think! The guys page is already taking off quickly and to be able to check out hit deer without going in and the amazing footage they get is pretty cool They found a buck that has been hit 11 days prior and was limping around ok all and all. Liver hit deer that were still alive , marked them and go back few hours later etc

Read in comments his his drone is like 13k and has 22k in setup with batteries etc.

Is it thermal or what? Probably work good in hill country and west tx. Not so sure about thickets.

I'm guessing that might be illegal in Texas and maybe in some other states as well.

First thought too but it actually does amazing in the thick woods too. Thermal yeah. Some of the guys videos are a little corny but I have watched every one of them and it’s pretty cool. Finds some of them in seconds and some takes 2 hours

Probably and possibly - I can for sure see it being abused but can also see it as a very valuable tool

Can you cite statute for this? Not challenging your knowledge of the subject, would just like for reference.

This isn’t avg drone camera at all. It’s amazing if you see what it can do in other videos. . The camera zoom feature is crazy clear from way away even.

Might be illegal now but it won’t be for long I bet for recovery

But for sure this could be abused in scouting etc with a camera of this quality

This buck was shot earlier by same guy- non fatal hit. Same guy goes in with drone and finds it alive and feeding. Backs out of the small acreage never pushing buck …..

Later sticks it again and that’s when this above video was of second attempt unknown time later.

I saw this on another message board, and I’m all for it. I have fence line/property line hunting neighbors on three sides of my place in OK, and I have to give them permission to trespass at least once every year. I’d dang sure rather someone fly over with a drone than have several people and usually a d*mn dog traipsing through my place.

It’s illegal and I highly doubt they will ever allow it. There is no way a game-warden could determine if a guy is using it to recover or scout.
