Prosecution is not going to happen unless someone comes forward and says the horse was theirs. Reportee called in for a “friend” who was Spanish speaking only and was on the line on a three way call. Said someone dumped the mare in front of his house two days ago and she’d been laying there without water ever since. When I arrived, directly across the street was a dilapidated barn but the horses over there were all taken care of so to speak. The call was made from one of those pay for minute phones with an 828 area code. No way I was finding out who actually starved and tortured her.

I sure appreciate the kind words from all of y’all. She’s in a better place and definitely not suffering anymore and death was instant. I’ll never ever erase her looking at me the way she did. Something about a horse…….it’s like they feel way more than most other creatures.

So the reportee watched the horse suffer for 2 days before doing something about it....more people who should be held accountable, to a degree anyway. IMO
