My hunt was interrupted by a couple of rifle hunters on the adjacent property setting up a ground blind at 8:00 this morning there on the ridge by my setup….needless to say, I got skunked this morning!

Master on the other hand had an eventful sit and was able to knock down his first ever deer with a bow!

All set at corner stand. Wind has switched 180 degrees today and blowing from the south. I am perched along an oak flat just below Dance Floor in hopes of catching the deer as they stage up on their way out to the corn at night. The bucks love chasing does around here too, so let’s hope the rut starts kicking into higher gear than it has so far!
