Maui is where we went and it was awesome. We did a ton of activities and had lots of fun but our next trip will be a sit and do what we want trip instead of an itinerary based trip.

Things we did on the first trip:
    zip lining
    pineapple farm
    luau
    snorkeling

there were a couple others but I don't recall that long ago any more...

Maui is hard to beat. Resorts are nice and high dollar. South Maui is full of Airbnb short term rentals along the Kihei / Wailea coast. We use kihei car rental. In the summer tons of axis come down off the volcano at night to sip on the golf course irrigations from Kihei to Makena. Great for a little hiking at night with your bow. So fun.

I was just booking the Maui Pineapple Tour in June before jumping on TBH and seeing this thread.

My wife and I are going in June for our 20th and gonna island hop. Going BI, Maui and the Oahu. Only gonna do 1 tour per island, so we have some free time to enjoy the resorts we have booked and also to explore. Kona Joe coffee tour on BI, pineapple tour on Maui and then of course Pearl Harbor.

It has been a TON of research to understand the different islands and what is where.

I have booked our island to island air this week and all of the rental jeeps. Just waiting on Southwest Airlines to get out to June.

I was shocked at the quality of pineapple when we did the tour... you’ll never look at store pineapple the same again.

Not sure of the name or if this option is even still available as it has been about 25 years since we went but we flew in to Honolulu and got on a small cruise ship for 7 days that docked at a different island every night. Get off in the morning and go see or do whatever you want on that island then return in the evening to a nice meal on the ship as it cruises to the next island. Was really cool. As mentioned above Pearl Harbor is a must and the helicopter tour on the island of Kauai was probably one of the coolest things I’ve done in my lifetime.

We went this year. End of May early June for two weeks. We did Oahu Maui and Kauai. They all have something. We did Pearl Harbor Memorial Weekend. So surreal. Second trip
To Maui for everyone in our group - Hana highway and a lot of hiking. Also did the summit one day. Kauai was where we spent the second week. Had a great time. Lots of cool little non touristy “dives” to eat and hang out. We rented a house on a golf course as our home base.

Keep in mind that Nov-Jan water activities have the roughest seas of the year on average if you aren’t surfing you may want to avoid boat tours and fishing.
