Won't be hunting Kansas this year. Going through divorce and the place I was hunting belonged to her side of the family. Hopefully I'll find a new place for next year. I will be hunting northern Missouri though. Getting some nice bucks there on cam. Good luck to everyone in Kansas.

I'll be in unit 11 somewhere around the 15th I would imagine. We'll stay until tagged out or Thanksgiving I reckon. Not running cams until we get there, but one of our farmers sent some pics of a stud.

Im headed up to Unit 7 November 5th through the 9th. First time hunting Kansas and just hunting the public land and WIHA land. Hoping to get on a buck 140 or better in such short time...

For you guys that are regulars in KS. I have a place to hunt in Unit 12. What would you think would be the best time to go for 4-5 days. My time is pretty limited this year. I know last year I saw pretty good rut activity around Nov 7-10. Any thoughts?

Thank you. That's about when I was thinking. I don't have a ton of time off from the firehouse so I wanted to maximize time there. Would you say hunting travel routes is best then? Or finding does on food source to bring bucks in?

Both good ideas, find a funnel and make all day sits, I always see the biggest deer between 11:00 and 3:00
