OK, I looked at when I wrote the check (yes I write checks). I wrote the check on 9-17 and it got mailed on 9-18. The due date was 9-28. It had 10 days to get there which should have been plenty of time. Check didn't get processed until 9-29. I personally think they held it to get that little bit of $$ from me. It was $96.16 interest and a $30 late fee. $126.16 total. I just paid it in full online. I hate paying online. I don't trust it. I never have trusted it. You computer geeks might like it, but this GOF don't.

          Trusty ol USPS got you
We have had several "late" payments due to USPS taking their sweet time delivering mail.
Wife has called and they have always taken charges off

Give it a try, can't hurt

That’s funny that you Trust the mail more than online payment options.

So did the mail run slow?
              Mail get diverted?
              Company hold the check?
It really took 11 days to get there?

So did the mail run slow? I don't know, but it's worked for all my life.
Mail get diverted? Another I don't know, but probably not.
Company hold the check? I think they did to get a little extrra out of me.
It really took 11 days to get there? I doubt it.
Been paying my bills this way all my life. Never had an issue until I tried to pay off a balance. I have had a couple of issues paying online. Twice I made a one time payment and both started coming out monthly. I did not give them permission to do so.

They don’t like hearing about the Navy SEALS debouching the 72 virgins either.

I think that I've had to do that 2-3 times over the past 20+ years and they always took the late payment and interest off. So I would try calling them with a little sweet talk and see where it gets you. I know you are tired of talking on the phone, but a phone call might save you $126.
