Anyone else getting tired of mowing

I don’t mind mowing but this year has been a challenge, rain, drought and now rain everyday. I’m at 9 days since my last cut and it’s high as heck, need a couple dry days!

I have not had to mow since June - maybe 3 times total during all of 2022 soo far!

With the drought we've been through, I think I've only mowed 4-5 time this year.

Same here. The least I've ever mowed. This was a good year for that with the fuel prices, though.

Haven't had to mow but a few times and drinking beer while riding the zero turn isn't half bad. Or sitting on the tractor shredding the pasture.

I don't mow. I hate it. It's like shaving your face. It's just gonna grow back.....leave it be. I dang sure don't water it to make it grow faster. My yard I mean. I water my face. Haven't noticed a considerable amount of beard growth.

I love yard work. I’m ready come March to go all in on my 5 acres. Keep sprinklers going, fertilize, herbicide…all in. BUT every year around Sept 1, I have had enough. Mowed this afternoon and thought about driving the kubota off in the pond and buying a couple goats. I guess the good news is I’m on the downhill slide.

Wow! You’ve got grass? That’s cool. We’re in a bad drought and we have no grass. No yard. No pasture. Mowed the yard one time this year at the beginning of the spring but that’s it. Nothing has grown since. With no pasture grass we sold our calves so we didn’t have to spend so much feeding them. Sure glad we didn’t fertilize this year, that would have been a big waste. We are on a well so we have to conserve water during these times so we don’t go dry. Sure wish all those people moving in around me understood that because they all have nice green yards with nice green runoff’s.
Anyways, as far as mowing goes, when we have a yard to mow my wife does that with a push mower and I do all the pasture mowing on my tractor and I do all the weed eating.

I just mowed yesterday for the first time this summer. And I'm tired of mowing.

The fish are biting and there's hogs to be kill-t. Gotta go!

I have to say that I enjoy mowing on a mower but not a tractor. Gives me time to get thoughts together and I really like the look of a freshly mowed lawn. I mow about 3 acres or so and it takes me about 1-2 hours to finish it all, but man it looks good when you are done. Nice cold beer in the shade after finishing makes it that much better.

I’ve only had to mow one time so far this year. Prior to that I think it was last August when I had to mow. We just got some rain so I may have to mow next week. A lot of what I thought was dead grass, is now green. But a lot of it still looks REALLY dead.
