Never been such a delicious beer as finishing yard work and sitting down outside enjoying it while looking over beautiful yard.
This. One gets downed going into the house, another in the shower to get the grass off before I start sneezing.

It also nice to see the end result.

I've seriously considered putting in artificial turf in the backyard, and hiring a service for the front yard.

The kiddo has two or three more years of college as she changed majors, so I'm not sure. But when she finishes I think i'm going to hire a service and sell my lawn mowing equipment.

I bought a really nice mower back in March. As of today it has 1.1 hours on it. You could say it has been a dry year.

Not a problem. So dry I have only mowed once this year.

I never get tired of watching Ivan mow my lawn. I do mow at the ranch on a riding lawn mower which is the only way I'll mow now. the zero turn is still fun to drive and it's only an acre or so - i don't edge, just spray weedkiller around house and fence line. mowing is not that bad, its the edging and blowing that sucks!

Mowing is women's work just like cleaning the toilet. All I do is buy the gas and keep the blade sharp

The cows mow and the donkeys edge. I find other ways to sweat.

Lol, it rained 1/2” over 8 days and I mowed for the first time this year last Friday.

Yes, I mow maybe .75 of an acre, and come early September I'm over it. I have found that taking 2 or 3 beers with me and putting on George Straight Pandora radio seems to make it a lot more enjoyable...

It is not the mowing that gets me, it is the weedeating.. This year hasn't been too bad because its been so try, but with all this recent rain if I don't mow and weedeat once a week it gets out of hand.

Absolutely look forward to mowing every week. Its my "alone" time away from the screaming kids and nagging wife. I go into a peaceful meditation as soon as I fire up the push mower and start to hear that Briggs & Stratton pur. There could be houses spontaneously blowing up behind me, or gun battles going on and I will be just fine continuing to mow and enjoying my little peaceful moment making sure my rows are straight. All is well in my world when I am mowing.

Working on another 1 1/2" today with it still raining so i will have to mow and shred when it dries out. No standing water as this was a nice slow rain, but the western part of this county and others out west have a flood warning, Western Bell and SE Coryell County.
