Run.. I had one rebuilt by them years ago and it didn't last long. If I remember right, about 6 months. Had to rip the motor out again and have it rebuilt by another shop

          there is definitely mixed reviews.

I got the quote from Thunderbolt at $4995

Quote from Texon Motors at $6150

Quote from 2 Jasper installers at $10,000

All 3 quotes are engine and install.

          Makes the decision pretty hard.
          I feel your pain.

I've always heard good stuff about both Thunderbolt and Jasper. I actually bought a rebuilt 350 from Jasper in 2003 and it lasted a long time, but dang it was expensive. And about 11 years ago I was looking to replace a 4.7 in a 2000 Tundra and the Jasper quote was so high as to be ridiculous.

My 2002 Sierra is at 290k, been looking into options. Would just buy a crate motor, but I guess covid screwed that up, cant find one anywhere. As others have said, I have heard Jasper is good, but $10k is stupid

Havent rebuilt one myself in a long time, but looks like I may have to again unless crate motors come available again
