I think they are nice feeders,, I just don't like the location of the feeder motor. To low to the ground and exposed to hogs or varmints that wanna jack with it.
I don't wanna have to get on my knees or bend over to check timers/batteries. Don't like the cage around the thrower either.
They are built out of great materials, just needs alittle tweaking before I get me some.

This is one of my main requirements for a top vote on a feeder. We change the feed times and check the system/battery/solar too much throughout the year to be bending over and getting on our knees each time. We are 5 hours away so we have to stay on top of it. The timer and battery must be on the side or top inside and have easy access.
My original ASF time protein feeder had the box, timer, battery, motor and everything tucked up under feeder. What a horrible design and a colossal pain in the ***. I bought it used and cheap so I called ASF to see if they would sell me the side box they were putting on the new models. They did and for $40 bucks and a little rewiring, it went from PITA to perfect. If I had the ASG corn feeders with the cages that look like my protein feeders, I would have the same control box installed on them.

I have a few. One is a Crossfire I believe, one is a 1000lb Lamco and one hybrid that I built. They all work!
I personally like the Lamco design but the Crossfire/asf stand and fills are great too and do not need a eliminator spinner for varmint proofing.
Having to pick one I like the the most would be the one I built because it has the most vision under and around the bottom of the funnel portion. Basically a Lamco style with a tapered bottom vs a square type bottom. I like the Lamco style for sure.Last edited by KingsX; 07-20-2022, 10:18 AM.

Lamco makes good stuff! How do they hold up to Aoudad and goats etc?
Well I guess if you want a feeder that drops corn right next to it then the Lamco isn’t for you. I only adjust my feeder when the time changes, but it’s much easier to access the timer on the Lamco than the TWS feeder. That’s not even debatable.
I’ve owned Lamcos for 6 years now. I’ve had Aoudad, Cows, Goats, Red Deer, Hogs, Axis, Blackbuck, Sika, and whitetail feed them over the years. Nothing has damaged them at all. That gap you assume would bend is very solidly reinforced

Hell I missed this comment.
Build your pens big enough and you won't have corn outside of them.I can certainly bend down to get to them but why the hell would I want to if i don't have to? Would you climb in the cab of your truck from a bottom door hatch from your knees or a door on the side of it if you had the choice?? Would like to check your oil or coolant by rolling underneath your truck and pulling on some dipsticks? or do you like it where it accessible standing up? That's what i thought.
Same concept.

Add this 500 lb. directional wildlife feeder to your hunting grounds for an effective feeding process. Find feeders, hunting blinds and more online.
I'm my opinion these are the best but they are not cheap. So far all my feeders from Texas Hunter Products have been very reliable.
