I bought one..and only one. 2010 tundra. Never needed it but after they told me they'd write me a check for the cost of the warranty when it expired I said ok. When the warranty expired I called em up and sure nuff...they sent me a check! I know that ain't ever gonna happen again and we've never bought one on anything since. The way vehicles are made these days I might consider looking in to one when the factory warranty is about to expire. Everything on em is expensive as hell and cheaply made.

Most extended warranties are a waste. That's my least favorite part of buying a new car...you know, the finance guy that wants to try and up sell you on additional warranties, paint protection or whatever. Heck, even if you are paying cash, they still want to lecture you about why financing is a better option and still try and sell you on the warranty. It's obvious they make money on these extended warranties, by the way some dealers push them so hard.
You literally are better off just throwing $100 into a savings account on a monthly basis and once your standard warranties are up, you will have a rainy day cash fund ready to pay for unexpected issues.
