1.at guy that owns the pizza store makes more than enough to pay his staff.

    2. you take a job where part of your salary is dependant on other's good will you deserve a lesson in life.

3.am not into subsidizing others paychecks when there is more than enough markup in that restraunt to pay for the "free" delivery.

Why do they deserve more than the guy that bags up you food at whataburger and brings the tray around with napkins ketchup and pepper?

I would think the margins on pizza are through the roof. I quit having pizza delivered because of the cost. I mean for $20 bucks I can go to Outback.

That pizza guy is making around $5/hour in wages. The IRS allows a deduction for business mileage of something like 40 cents/mile (that's probably low, I don't care enough to look it up). That IRS deduction represents a REAL cost to the owner of that vehicle. If he drove 5 miles round trip to deliver your dinner and gets to keep all the delivery fee, he comes out a whopping 50 CENTS ahead.

Short answer, tip the guy or go get it yourself.
Umm... not if he gets a .40 cents/mile deduction

I tip pizza delivery dudes... if they get 25% already... Im going to stop... Ill not tip a delivery boy 45% for a $10 pizza.

Sorry... If he doesn't like that... he can grow up and get a real job.

He'll get the deduction if he claims the income.

My point was that the deduction gives an idea of the driver's cost to make that delivery.

Delivery charge goes straight to the store, drivers don't see any of it.

                            It turns a $10.00 pizza into an $18.00 purchase....what do ya'll think?

I am still going to tip my normal $3.00 but wanted to see what ya'll think.....
