15 years old - Spike - Shot Dec 1983 the day before the big arctic front blew into Texas and kept the Houston area below freezing for several days. The deer hung in the garage until all the family/neighbors could come take a look at it.

I did get a ROE gold medal Aoudad when I was 9... that was kinda cool.

My first buck was a 10 pointer I shot, in San Sabba when I was about 18. I was hunting on a friends lease. It was a last minute invite and my .30-06 wasn't sightted in, so my brother said I could use his .243. Worked out great for me.

Seventeen I had just finished baiting my trap line, had noticed some fresh scrapes on a old Railroad tram the day before so I brought my 30-30. Was in NF in east texas, had about 1 hr of light set down on the ground 15 mins later a 17" wide 5pt come cruzin in I have no idea how I hit him as bad as I was shaking but I did!

My first deer was with a shotgun in Ohio. I was 15.

First Buck was a 6 pointer with shotgun in Indiana at 16.

Started bow hunting at 17 but never got into it and laid it down thru college, etc. Picked it back up last year with a new found passion. Missed an 8 pointer in Ohio. Learned the lesson to focus on the target not the pins.

Still after the first bow kill.
