If for horses at least 5 foot. Cows can most likely get by with 4. If for decoration I like 4 foot also

Pipe Fence Height

Thanks for all the input!
Instead of barbwire we decided to go with a no climb under the pipe top.
The 5 foot height is still in the air at this time however measuring other peoples pipe fence on my way to the property appeared to be 55"~60" on average.
I guess I have never paid attention to how high fences are...
Now Paint color...urghhhh

4’ tall for pets and typical stock animals.
5’ tall for horses or stock in tight area with tendencies to jump.
This is typical no climb mesh under pipe top rail.
Make center of pipe 48” or 60” then you can run a 4 pt barbed strand under mesh ti prevent predators.
Or lay field fence flat on ground before building new fence over top of it.
