It is every believers job to help grow the kingdom. One way of doing that is by witnessing to others. I guess you could just witness without knowing, but I can't see the harm in someone asking first. For sure can't see a reason to be upset if someone asks. I would think if someone asked me that it could be for 2 reasons.
    1. Because they want to witness to me. [emoji106]
    2. They're not and I now have an opportunity to witness to them. [emoji106]

    Both pretty awesome scenarios.

Think about it like someone wanting to give you some good news or do something nice for you. I agree that a little etiquette would go a long way in the way questions are asked.

Would it hurt your feelings if I only asked people that I cared about and wanted to see living eternally in heaven and not in eternal hell? Eternal hell- never any hope for anything better and it is the absolute worst thing you can imagine.

So yes I ask because I genuinely care about others and love them more than they will ever know.

When I fist became a Christian the strangest thing happened - I was working out of town and literally every person introduced themselves and immediately asked me if I knew Jesus. It was very bizarre for me but also exciting.

I know it's not a question to me but no it wouldn't hurt my feelings. Our lives are predetermined from the moment we're born. God knows what direction we'll take whether right or wrong. How we deal with obstacles is up to us. God knows how he wants us to handle them. I think certain circumstances lead people to the Lord. Others reject God all their life.

The old saying "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink." comes to mind. I think if everyone focused on them being a better person and leading by example we would all be better off. Because if truth be known I know people that go to church every Sunday and they'd better be more worried about their soul than mine. Because if they left this earth today they might be surprised where they end up.

I say God Bless as a continual prayer…and many good folk (verbally/unverbally) assume I am Christian. I pray to God and not to a man is what I say, yet try to follow the golden rule.

I feel I bring joy to people with the simple reminder and prayer.

                God bless!

                Good push Britches.

Sitting in church makes you a Christian, no more than standing in your garage makes you a car. It’s not about rules and regulations. Trust in the Lord, have faith that his grace is enough,…. The turning from sins and rules just take care of themselves when you die to yourself

You are absolutely right! But, those of us who do in fact have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ have a genuine desire that everyone have the opportunity to choose to Believe.
I can tell you one thing beyond a shadow of doubt. One Day EVERY knee shall bow and every tongue WILL confess Jesus Christ IS LORD... If you do that on the green side of the grass, you can spend eternity with Him in Heaven. Once you're departed from this life, it's too late, but YOU WILL still confess it, then be thrown into eternal Hell...

I can honestly say that since joining this forum, the attitude of your posts sure would not lead anyone to think in a million years that you were a believer. It saddens me, but my conscience is clear... You have had plenty of opportunities it would seem. I know you don't give to rats and that's OK too. Have a good day sir. And I pray you wake up tomorrow still on the green side of the grass and continue to do so until your eyes are indeed opened and for the first time in your earthly life you will be able to see...

I had your same attitude BC in my life.

After fighting suicide for a couple weeks ( all I could hear in my mind is that you have done lost everything anyway PULL THE TRIGGER) and suffering withdrawals from the dope I was at the end of my rope.
Any way a Baptist preacher showed up that evening in 2003 talked to me any my wife at the time, the preacher looked me in the eye and said if you died right this minute do you know where you would go.?
My answer was I Hope I would to Heaven, his answer was HOPE IS GOING TO GET YOU BURNED IN HELL!
I stood up and got nose to nose with him and said your a little Bold ain’t ya preacher, he said no I’m telling you the truth!!
A truly saved person knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that If the died that there next breath would be in Heaven.
He then asked do you want a change in your life by this time the Holy Spirit was so thick in the room I broke down crying uncontrollably and told the preacher I would do anything to change.. he prayed with me and God hit me between the eyes!!
It was AWESOME I was Reborn and I knew it!!

I’m so glad that preacher got into my business that evening and told me the truth.
If you ever need a ear I’m always on here along with lot of spirit filled born again believers.
                          Be blessed

I have always said that if a person is serving the God I’m serving, your light will shine to those who are living in darkness.
I love and wait for the question from random strangers in stores “why are you so happy today?”
Oh boy, does that open the door to tell them about my Jesus.
Some will lead to in-depth conversation and some really wish they hadn’t asked.
None the less, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
                            He is my anchor.
