    If someone asks...

You if you are a Christian, know Jesus, or know the salvation and you are and you do...

You might want to think about the life you are portraying. If others don't know you are, perhaps you are living a good life but not in a way that exemplifies God.

You might need to read Romans and Corinthians I and II.

Yes, this happened to me. I asked my friend that I met last year and she was surprised that I did.

Absolutely this. The apostle Paul in his letter to Ephesus tells them about being "in Christ." Being a disciple should make you stand out from a crowd.

When they see me they should see Him. Our walk is supposed to bring us closer to emulating Him.
There's a reason Jesus said "If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you". Because we should remind them of Him!
          Thanks Dusty!

During a Q&A session with Stephen Lawson a college student mentioned that he and his friends routinely perform street evangelism. He goes on to mention that most folks will identify with cultural Christianity. But we all know we are called for more. So he asks Lawson how can he get his point across to those that he evangelizes to that there is a difference between proclaiming Christ, and living within and for Christ?

So Lawson responds by telling the student to ask them a simple question which was, "Let's imagine that you wake up tomorrow morning and its suddenly illegal to be a Christian. What evidence could we find to sentence you? We're going to bring in your girlfriend/wife, your siblings, your parents, your co-workers, and your boss and see what they have to say. Will they have enough against you to convict you? Will there be enough evidence that you really are a Christian?"

                    That’s a pretty powerful analogy ^^^

I’ve been in pretty deep study of “cultural Christianity” for several years now. And have heard it said and believe it with every fiber that the hardest person to reach… in the one sitting in the church bench. The one with all the head knowledge…. But still doesn’t KNOW Jesus Christ

                      This:

the hardest person to reach… in the one sitting in the church bench. The one with all the head knowledge…. But still doesn’t KNOW Jesus Christ

                      Yes! Absolutely!

I see a lot of people who say they are Christian but don't try to rid the sin in their lives or feel convicted by sin because it is cool to get drunk, curse, stay angry, get revenge, etc. Or they are closet Christians - only living in Christ in the closet because they fear what someone might ask. Or both.

I know lots of good people but I really do not know if all of them know Jesus. The ones that say, "my evangelism is my life" upset me, too. Because if they saw themselves rightly, they would fear that people would be led astray. Speak to people and frame the picture of your life correctly. My picture is not perfect, but I hope I can tell the narrative that I'm still working on it.

Our picture is not perfect and this is the selling point of the Gospel. That while we may not be perfect, we are forgiven. However, when made aware of it, we are always willing to turn away from that part that is not perfect and put on the perfect robe of Christ. Not as a garment, but as an armor against the sin.
Too many times when we are confronted by a brother or sister in Christ of our sins, we take a "who are you to judge me" attitude when we should instead be saying thank you!

Not many will reach out for help until they come to the point that they realize they have a problem and that it is more than they can handle by themselves.
Too many Sunday saints don't take a real close look at their Monday-Sat. lives. They might be comparing themselves with someone sitting on the other end of the bench instead of the perfect example of Christlikeness.
