I can only explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you. She doesn’t have anything to do with Rock and Roll. Like so many musicians in the hall already. If they changed their name to the music hall of fame then it would make sense. Like Dolly herself said, it would be like putting AC/DC in the country music hall of fame.

To answer your question, they are a joke for putting her on the ballot. Even after she asked them not to.

By the way, Dionne Warwick and Lionel Ritchie, are also nominated. Nothing screams rock and roll like Dolly, Dionne, and Lionel.

I wouldn't put it exactly like that, but even back in her early days, I always said she's a lot better at singing duo's than solo... Her and just about any of her male singing partners over the years sound so much better than her singing almost anything by herself...
Now her voice, that's like long nails on a chalkboard for me too!

Privileged to see Rush at the Paramount Theater in Austin in the 70s to play the 2112 album, with my sons in San Antonio at the AT&T Center in 2003, and again at their 40th year tour in Austin at the racetrack before Neal Peart died of cancer. A three piece band of rare talents that stayed together for 40 years.
