Personally I like the Roombas I would plan on it lasting between 3-5 years and if you replace the battery they can last longer. I love leaving one at the ranch house to keep the floors clean for when you arrive.

Roborock has been the best brand that we have had. Definitely worth the money.

We have one with a lab and a cur dog. Not a self cleaning unit, so we have to empty daily. And the stories about it spreading the dog mess is real!!!! Happened only once when we go the new dog, but it was a mess

We upgraded ours around Black Friday to a Roborock s7+ and have been very happy with the performance. The mopping feature has been great and the auto empty is a big bonus. It’s pricey but well worth the cost for the amount of time we save on cleaning the floors.

Roomba. Our yellow lab is a shedding machine, and our roomba does a good job of keeping up. Works best with open spaces. Tables, chairs, end tables, vases, etc make the robot less effective. We have pretty open spaces and helps a lot.

We had a roomba and after using it for a few months I got tired of cleaning the filter and brushes. I also had to replace the brushes and they were expensive.

My shepherd does lose a lot of hair.

Upon Consumer Reports recommendation, we went with the Eufy 11S. I would recommend you get one that is NOT random like ours. We get a lot of dust, grass, etc. and I have to clean the filter and empty the collection gizmo at least once for an 1850 sf house, so it does a good job in that regard. However, I can put it in the living room/kitchen/dining area and it takes a long time to do that area, especially with it's random cleaning and me nudging it to go where I want it to. My next one will be a grid vacuum.

This one made me laugh due to experience…the one time it actually goes all around the house.

We have a roomba with one Griff and two kids. Works great during the week but the dog doesn't shed much.

Also, can also back up the smeared poo. My mother in law house sat a while back with her dog in tow that apparently can't control himself. It was unholy, luckily we were on vacation
