    Robot vacuum question

I have been seriously thinking about getting a iRobot vacuum with the bin to collect dirt to try to keep up with the two jack Russells that shed like it’s snowing.
I am looking for input from someone that has first-hand experience with them as to which one actually works the best? I just want something to pick up the dog hair between regular vacuuming cycles.

    Thank you,
    Ron

We have one jack Russell and run 2 robot vacs in a 3500 Sq foot 1 story. We have a roomba that works well. We also have a knock off brand called Lefant which so far is ok as well. Just make sure the pups never accidentally go in the house.....it can be a messy situation

we started with a roomba maybe 10 years ago, it lasted 4-5 years. Then we did a shark version cuz wife thought it was quieter, but it crapped out in less than 2 years and they offered us like 10% off MSRP for a new one to replace it. Went back to a roomba that self empties (costco version, i think its an i8+ that is only made for them). Had it about 2 years. Every now and then, it doesnt connect right on the charger and so we have to fix it so it will charge and run. Maps your house so cleans systematically unlike our old roomba and shark that just wandered around and turned when hit something. We have one dog and a wife that sheds just as much hair and have to change the bag in the charging unit maybe every 6weeks. Probably clean the roller brushes about the same frequency, maybe more. It tells you when it needs to be done.

Just purchased and started using a Shark (self cleaning brushes with docking station). So far so good, but with a lab and golden it is only a matter of time before the robot cries uncle.

We went with Eufy from Amazon. Been rock solid so far and picks up everything.

3 short hair dachshunds in the house. One Roomba. All tile and hardwood floors, no carpet. Roomba runs 3x a week and I’m amazed how much hair and dust it picks up. Very happy with them. Probably could buy another.

Interesting, we had one and it was junk. Kept getting stuck and running out if battery.

Wife bought some rubber squeegee looking thing. It's fast and does JR hair quick on wood flows

We have a shark that works pretty good. Dog hair does seem to get stuck when it docks and “self empties” but overall I’d say worth it.

I think they have models with poop-detection now.

                          Forget Roomba
                          Forget Shark
I’ve had both & they are ok

                          Bought a Tesvor M1 off Amazon….fantastic high suction 4000Pa!

I have a Roomba, it does a pretty good job. The Shiba sheds enough to make a new dog every couple of days, plus lots of dirt gets tracked in the house between him and the puppy. Roomba is the hardest working employee in my house.

My first Roomba died a really awful death, when it hit a puppy mess (#1 and 2 in the same spot). It cooked the internals (maybe while we were cleaning it, I was very sad...)
