I may get him to let me come out and just look at the place if I can. I have some friends from Alabama that want to come in but I need to put eyes on the place before I let them come all this way on a gamble. It’s in Rock Springs. They have a primitive cabin and feed you 2 meals a day
    Holla!

2 years ago I drove down to Bownanza from Minnesota, enjoyed the festivities, then drove home. It was worth every minute and mile!

The ranch is an old family place. The family that owns it owns pretty significant business interest and most of them work for the business. The guy running the hunts is a nephew and he is probably not going to be part of a commercial real estate empire (get it?). I think that they are letting him run the hunts on this one of a few places they have to help him make a little money.

That is me guessing part of it and piecing things together in some part. That is why I haven't really said much about it. "If its to good to be true" sort of thing. I am gonna try and make a trip out there and if its not a joke Ill pass that on. I have to believe chances are about 70/30 that I get to see a coyote, some cool country, and nothing else. I will update as I can.

Not bad pricing on this ^^^ place.

I know a place where Axis bucks are under $2,000 and does under $300. It’s way out in Eldorado though. No lodging, meals or anything like that.

What does an archery axis hunt cost within driving range from Austin or Bryan?

Bill, what would you consider "driving range" within Austin or Bryan?

Is there a base fee for going a certain number of days or anything?

That’s hard to say. A couple hours I’d say.

No. It’s not a “hunting business”. You will stay in a hotel (about 10 minutes away) and feed yourself.

Exotics prices have sky rocketed the last 24 months and there’s no end in sight.
I had goals to try and do a hunt every year/other year with my pops knocking off bucket list stuff but it’s insane what’s happen.

Id expect 3250$-4500$ depending on what type of lodging you want.

Heck a 32” axis sold at a auction a few weeks ago for 5,200$!!! What the heck is that dude/lady going to do with that thing at that price?!?
