My son is 12 and a 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo. He started when he was 5 and stopped when he was 10. He wanted to try something different so he’s now in bjj. It’s a completely different style and super technical. He’s 2yrs in and an orange belt. Both are great for kids. I’d say you can’t go wrong with either. I’ve seen quiet and timid kids really excel once they find their groove. The only advice I have is, the sooner the better.

Preciate it fellas. I’m proud she is committed. Anyone looking to Martial Arts for their kids I recommend Jiu Jitsu

Why wouldn’t Krav Maga work for your daughter?

Krav would most definitely work. However at the time she was very timid and jiu Jitsu seemed a better fit for her. We tried some Muy Thai and think she will pick that up too.
