Mine aren't quite that far along yet, but we're getting there slowly. I've got corn, okra, tomatoes, zucchini, 6 or 7 kinds of peppers, and a handful of herbs. My first dill sprouts popped up yesterday.

Anyone have any recommendations for good green beans? I've planted seeds my MIL gave me the last couple years and they just haven't done well. I'm on the North side of San Antonio in a raised bed if that matters any.
We use Kentucky Wonder or Blue Lake Pole beans in Houston and they have done well. I don't see any reason they wouldn't work in SA.

We planted two rows of these Easter Sunday... We've never had any luck with green beans, but I hope these work for us. Are they as prolific producers as field peas (like purple hull peas)?? I love me some green beans and new potatoes!!

I have never planted purple hulls, but I would say they are plenty prolific.

Y'all don't look too close at how crooked those rows are!! I ain't too proud of my tractor work on this one... Was in a bit of a hurry... was gettin' dark an' I had a lot yet to do...
Looks like your bedder is doing a fine job. I need to play with mine more to get use to it.

can anyone tell me what's going on with this tomato plant? I started it from seed, specifically a Burpee Super Sweet 100 Hybrid. I transplanted them from 4" plastic pots into the ground on 4/9 and have been watering with drip irrigation and occasional manual watering. the soil is mostly aged compost mixed with the native black gumbo that was there when i tilled it. There are 4 of these plants all with the same symptoms, but none of my other tomatoes in other spots have these yellowing leaves. i haven't seriously tried to grow tomatoes before so i'm not sure what it is and/or what to do.

from talking to others and some internet research it seems the most likely solutions are some kind of fungus, spider mites, or the soil has too much nitrogen.

For context, the area that these tomatoes are in also have a couple of basil and marigold that seem fine, and was originally seeded with Texas cream peas where none of them germinated (of at least 100 seeds). There were also a couple of sunflowers i started from seeds in that area that did sprout but only made it a few inches before they died.

any advice is appreciated, thank you.

Squash, zucch's, and leafy veggies really coming along nicely. I'm especially liking this Chinee cabbage (Bok Choi or something like that...) Peppers are now starting to kick it in high gear and cukes starting to put out runners... will train them to run on the fence for now. Just about finished with the automatic watering system so that will make life MUCH easier once that's done. Hope to complete that by this coming weekend.
But most exciting to me is we finally got to plant the in-the-ground stuff!! Planted sweet corn, top pick pink eyes (purple hull peas), couple rows of pole beans, more okra (have some Jambalaya okra in bags that's doing real well), and a half row of plain ol' spinich... Believe it or not, I could actually use a rain on the main garden!! Didn't think I'd ever see that day!! Wife's strawberry patch is yielding a big bowl of beautiful strawberries every other day or so and they are just now getting going good... Barring some unforeseen catastrophe, we hope to fill the freezer back up this year!! Thank you Lord!!

I’m in no way any kind of expert but what I’ve read is that over watering, under watering or nutrient deficiency can cause that.

Could be anything really. I’d cut back on the water for a few days.soil shouldn’t be saturated. Over wet soil will cause fungus to grow.

Start there and see what happens.

As far as the sunflowers dying off that’s very odd. I do know bugs love baby suns so watch out for that.

                      My first thought is overwatering.

First, I would prune those lower limbs. That variety is an indeterminate plant anyway. Then, add epson salt.

My black beauties and zebras are doing great. So are the aunt Ruby’s and beefsteaks. My Sart Roloise are being a little slow.

A lot of times, your soil can be deficient of magnesium and sulfur, turning leaves yellow. Salon salt replenishs it.
