Jasper engine review?

Jasper engines are good until they are not. I think 9/10 of them are good but if you get stuck with that 1/10 its no fun. I had a 350 jasper motor in ski boat that wouldn't make oil pressure from the word go. Took months and I still had to pay more money to get a "warranty" motor.
Full disclosure: I've had two other motors from them that were just fine.

Can't say anything bad about them. They made good on the warranty, no hassles or questions.
i had an 07 tahoe that had AFM issues and crapped out at 240k. low compression on 1 & 7. Best option was a jasper and their 3 yr 100k warranty. Mechanic talked highly of them. Made it 80k and 2yr 9mos. Same result. Took it in, they replaced it. Asked the mechanic if i got another 3yr 100k warranty? He never called me back and took me off his christmas card list. 2nd jasper made it another 2yr 9mos and 80k. Low compression on cylinders 1 & 7. I deleted the AFM on the second jasper. I think there must have been something in the computer. Too coincidental

my good friend had 3 lock up on him in the last year and a half (in 2 different trucks). Both were 2006 1/2 ton dodges with v8's. less than 15k miles on all 3 motors. They were all burning a quart of oil every 1000-1200 miles. they replaced the 1st one, but he got stuck with the other 2. He called to see if burning oil was common and they told him that it was common until they get broke in.
