Funny you should say that....the Mexican hands down on our dove lease have been using them to fry fish for years on our annual South Texas opening day dove hunt. They refer to them as diskos..pronounced deee-skoz. But hail, this might just be "disc" in Spanish who knows... This was my first introduction to them and they seemingly have taken off in popularity.

Disko is what I call them as well from listening to all the Mexicans talk about them. Apparently, they are quite the traditional Mexican cookware.

Hootus and nomenclature (no idea on spelling either) all in the same sentence.

That has got to be a 1st.

Sounds good Eric. I would still like to buy one though just to say I have one.
When do you plan on going up to the lease to look it over. I may be headed up there this weekend to fix my blind that blew over and bust a Turkey.

Yea, I think Slim is going to take a break from the house and go too. He has not said for sure. I've got to do a little patch work to it then stand it up. If I get my tow bar built in time I'm going up to Childress to get my lease truck I bought for the other lease. If it's wet or rainning I'm not going cause I don't want get stuck. I'll know more come thursday.

I plan on making a couple when I have the chance to meet up with TxCattleman(Trey) to get couple discs. Maybe Casey can bring a few back from the golf tournament and we can weld them up in the next couple of weeks.

Stolle, ad me to the list and if Casey can't get the disks from Trey I will see him mid-August and can pick them up.

funny you mention disc..... you wont believe what I have that fell off the tractor yesterday.... after another tree jumped in front of me. Now I know how the hole gets punched out in them. Can someone include me in the "I would like to have a disc cooker" pool?
