When you're welding the hole closed in the bottom, weld 3 big, threaded nuts on the bottom too spaced evenly a couple of inches in from the edge. That way, if you ever want to use it over a camp fire, you can screw in pieces of threaded rod a foot or so long into the bottom, and cook over the coals. As long as you're welding, it adds 5 minutes to the project. I posted pictures of mine on the DIY thread on disc cookers.

Much easier than welding the hole closed. Deen is where I get mine as well.

You will probably come through Rockwall going to and from Forney and I could weld you horseshoes on real quick if you needed me to.

I know you have some other offers though.

Question...why do they sell disks without center holes? Without holes in the center of the disk, how do they attach them to the equipment? I've been pondering this.

I'll go to work for you building them and we both could make a living at that price.

I agree with all the above statements! The no hole version from Austin is about 40 bucks with tax. Just need a couple horse shoes, welder, flap disc and maybe a 12 pack and you got yourself a wok.
