No way I would replace a 454 with a 350. If I read your post right the rotating assembly will still turn. If that’s the case, bore the cylinders, bead blast the entire thang and get to building.

I also agree with fuel injection over carb.

Just waiting on small block to get out of machine shop might not make engine really nice might just built it and rebuilt the 454 no one bought it

Don’t worry the 350 had a Crack on the side and is not useable
