Rain has finally slacked off enough where I can take my hood off to hear more than just rain drops pelting my head.
Had a coyote buzz thru during the peak of the monsoon.
Seeing a few squirrels scurrying around.
Hopefully deer will be their feet soon.

Alright!!!
Skies are clear and rain has stopped.
Not 10 minutes after I look out in the corn field and there are a herd of deer feeding on cut corn. All does and yearlings.

The rain sucked! But I’m excited for the rest of the day!

Thank you to any and all Veterans who have fought, are fighting, and will fight for our freedoms!

My buddy Conner shot a target buck in Iowa last night and backed out due to the shot being a touch back.
They recovered him this morning!

Well I figured I’d have more action after the rain quit.
Haven’t seen anything since all those Does fed in the corn field.
Been debating on moving to a different stand but I think I’m gonna ride it out the rest of the day.

Wind is stiff and it’s cooling off fast.

It got western right before dark. Had deer pouring into the corn field.
20+ deer with 4 small bucks running does all over the place.

Tomorrow morning will be my last hunt. It will be 30+ degrees.

Headed to camp to change and out to eat with my buddy.

I’m a fan of last day, crunch time sits.

Stay with me. We still got time to get one on the ground in Illinois.
