IOWA Live!! Finally Drew That COVETED Tag!!!

Guys I haven’t had a chance to update. We got Conner settled in down the road just a bit, and I came in to a big ridge between two bedside two areas.

We came across this cattle pasture to get in without bumping deer





I had not finished getting setup and I had a doe barrel in here panting at 10 yards. I heard grunting coming through the brush and I just knew it was about to be over before it even got started [emoji16]. It was just a hard panting younger 8 point, but it got the hunt started right! Here is a screen shot of him from my camera.




Ten minutes later another younger buck comes cruising the same trail. I managed to get a pic of him with my cell phone.


After a little lull I decided to beat on the black rack and mid sequence another young 8 came in to investigate. Didn’t get pics of him.

Now as I type this a 3 point is cruising through! I plan to be here until blood is shed or it gets dark!! Stay tuned!

Seen a lone young doe at 11:00 and I just had a bigger bodied funky racked 6 point come through at 11:55. These deer can come from any direction here.
