Two new Tactacam cameras on the market

Of course in typical Tactacam fashion they are already sold out.

Looks like they have continued to improve their cameras though.

I like the no glow feature the new ones have.

I’m getting the SK model delivered today. I’m excited to see the video quality.

I am dumb when it comes to cellular cameras. I have been looking at getting a few of these but have a dumb question. If you don't have cell service on parts of a property, these are useless, correct? The best camera locations on our property don't have any signal. I always assumed the guys using these had a good signal where they hunted.

Correct! If you have no cell service….you will not get pics relayed to you

I’m starting to figure them out and how and why they don’t work sometimes, so I’m a little more confident in them than I had been. As such I’d be interested in the SK model with the solar charger. That would be awesome.

My lease is extremely spotty with cell service and I haven't found a spot yet that the cameras wouldn't work. It picks signal up way better than a phone. I wonder if on demand pictures actually mean I can trigger a photo at any time from my phone.

I sure wish tactacam would fulfill the order we placed with them. We have received 48 cameras out of the 300 we ordered.

New cameras look awful nice though, can’t wait to get our hands on some more.

I have 6 of their cameras running right now. I put two of them in an area that my cell phone said no service. I bought 10’ extension antennas off Amazon for under $20 each. Both cameras have worked flawlessly

I just put out the reveal x this past weekend. Thus far, I am not impressed. I hope pics on the sd card will be better quality than what is sent through the app

Question: how far away do you set your camera from say a feed pen? What is the max distance?

I hoping the new versions will have better quality pics. The SD cards are more detailed but not much. Mine are set 20 yards away from where the deer should be. That distance works for me. The cameras themselves detect movement much farther out, but the pic quality isn’t real clear. You can tell a deer from a hog at that distance. You won’t be able to see details of the animals beyond 30 yards.

AC, I guess I was under the impression that the flash on these was not visible all along? I have the Reveal X, not the XB though. Maybe I misread the specs on mine.

                        This!!

Anyone know of a fix? My pics have terrible resolution as well.

Guessing you can pay extra for "HD"??

Good to know. I may take my chances with an ATT camera. Every now and then when the wind is right an ATT phone will get a text message or make a call on the back hill where I hunt.

What's the best way to get one of these new cameras? Do you order it and wait on backlog? Or just keep checking the website? Do their listed dealers have priority and get any? Elusive Wildlife in conroe is a listed dealer.

The Reveal and Reveal X both show the red LED lights when it takes a pic. The new ones show nothing a human can see.
