    Joe the dumbazz. If cuts were made and Joe had seniority over folks that were more qualified, yet had less seniority, Joe would stay and the more qualified would be let go.


    It’s a lot harder to get rid of a useless union hand.

      Exxon changed their business model and are now paying for it. From focusing on oil and refining they took the alternative fuels and energy route. And, overextended their butts in foreign exploration. Now, major investors are on the warpath and want some heads to roll. Instead of executives paying the price they want the little man to pay.

        What if the committee members aren’t truly concerned with the worker’s welfare? Do the committee members remain getting paid (via some source) through the negotiations?
