Trailer Hub overheating

Too tight on crown nut?

How are you determining that its overheating? A brake drum will get pretty hot. Do you have surge brakes or electric over hydraulic?

……so hot you can’t leave your finger on it for more than a second….just one wheel. Disc brakes.

It is good trouble shooting…unfortunately they are hydraulic….but, I maybe able to remove the pads and if there is enough gap, ride around and see what happens and diagnose from there.

Don’t pull the pads, the caliper piston will blow out.

Bake off the brake adjustment on that wheel or just wait for it to break in
