Maybe a little Ivermectin on the feed pile would help with the Cov....I mean liver flukes.

Can you elaborate on the application process?

Lol I just bought 29 acres out of one of the original Darrel hall subdivisions… ton of deer but all does and young bucks. Neighbors have feeders on every parcel. Definitely can fill the freezer with does though, think we saw 16 one time out there this summer

Plenty of mature deer in the area now but like others said, I’m not seeing them on feeders since acorns dropped. Approx 3 weeks was last mature buck on corn amd we saw 3

Once in the spring and once in the fall, we have the deer coming good feeders, we mix a couple hundred pounds of corn and 12 ounces of ivermectin per hundred pounds of corn in a cement mixer, mix until you can’t smell the ivermectin. Then we will turn off the feeders, spread the treated corn underneath the feeders, and leave the feeders off until the corn is cleaned up. We also will corn some roads and other areas in hopes of picking up some deer that might not be using the feeders.

Some good looking bucks but I can't really age any of them over 3 maybe 4.

The liver fluke issue is interesting.

And I firmly support the small property owner partaking in a state resource. I would like to see buck harvest further restricted, even if it means removing the option to kill spikes. With the abundance of does, and the expansion of doe seasons, there's no reason to still be killing spikes.

This is great and good thinking. Seems some of the protein co’s could blend something in their feed. Surprised they haven’t already done this.

They do. Lyssy & Eckel, among others offer a couple medicated options.

Lots of real mature deer posted on this thread. You need to work on your aging for the area. Here are 2. 2nd deer is for sure 6.5, maybe 7.5 last year.

Interesting. He still looks thin through the neck. Here's some more that we have passed in recent years because I can't get them over 4yo. I guess my neighbors appreciate it.
