    To me, if you look at the above link and scroll to the female cardinal, that looks more like the pic the OP posted than the Pyrrhuloxia... We have lots of both on our place down South...
    I'm gonna go with female Cardinal.

      Very well may be correct. Glare makes beak seem a little yellowish but i sure don't see any red around the eyes/face.

        Possibly, but the pyrrhuloxia have a shorter, much more curved beak. The beak on this one looks more like a cardinal. Also, the location of where this is spotted may give a clue.

          I never knew about the pyrrhuloxia before. Cool to know. The pic does look like a female cardinal though. 2nd pic looks like an American Kestrel, best I can tell in the blurry photo.
