I have seen fawns and then they are gone here in Lampasas. Have found 4 on 300 acres killed by predators. Most that raised sheep or goats on the West side of Lampasas have gone out of the business so I guess it is open season on fawns.

a lot of does were bred late so the fawns are still quite young.

Not in your area, however, where I live there are absolutely fawns everywhere! Most does have twins and several had triplets. They did not have them late either. Good Luck- I hope they start showing up for you!

In general we have seen far fewer does on camera this year so far. My working theory is all the rain created enough native browse where does are hanging in the thicker stuff with their fawns more than in drier years. Just seeing bucks hitting the protein except in spots that are very close to cover.

I doubt the predators would have had an easier time of it with all the vegetation everywhere, but who knows.

We have 5 fawns in one picture in Madisonville. Had a great year, most I have seen in 5 years there is 3 in one picture.

Head over here to Woodcreek North/Wimberley Springs area. We got truckloads of the little buggers running around.

I don’t think I have a single doe without a fawn this year. Many have twins. I’m just east of Boerne in Kendall county.

I’ve seen more fawns this year than maybe ever before. Great year for fawns.

Not seeing alot of fawns, better get out the squeakers - got some yotes to be put down and or feral domestic dogs - take your pick.

Seems like normal fawn numbers in my part of Llano.
