They cant because they don't have any boots to give. That's why I wont buy another pair, even if they're in stock somewhere. Warranty is worthless on them.

Yup, if they're shipping mfg to China I wouldn't support them now.

I've been looking to grab the zippered moc toes too.

Question to you Danner owners, does anyone have the San Angelo slip on boot that looks similar to a chip? They're made in USA.

Wait till Mumbling Joe bumps minimum wage up and watch automation really take a jump!

FYI, those moc toe Chips are not USA Made to begin with. Only the original version is USA made. Not even the waterproof or safety toe versions or zip up... Been that way for a while. Could be that's why the quality ain't there on them. For instance, if you go on Amazon and look up Chippewa Snake boots, and look at any model/style, they all say American-made and imported... The only one still American-Made is the standard pull on round toe vibram sloe that's been around for literally a hunert years...

Boot/shoe repair place will fix that right up if you really like them.

I'm as guilty as the next guy not caring for my boots, but as expensive as a quality pair has gotten, a little leather conditioner now and then probably wouldn't hurt. Not basing that thought on the picture you posted at all.

I don't think that is the case anymore based on my conversation today. The lady I spoke to never asked me which chips they were and I didn't disclose that info. She simply said "snakes" can't be made in the US anymore and that there was no inventory to give me even if I made a warranty claim. She said I should take them back to where I bought them and see if they had any inventory left to exchange.

                        This is very true.

Beijing Biden is going to hurt a lot of American companies and ultimately the consumer.

You very well could be right! My point was that those moccasin style boots were not made in the USA to begin with. Chippewa has been pretty sneaky about that for years. Sounds like their one style now even will not be made in the USA...
Dang shame as I have worn Chips for many years. They just fit my feet right...
