Chippewa Snake Boots Not Being Made

I have a fairly new pair of chips that had a side seam split this weekend while hunting. I called Justin to make a warranty claim and was given the run around. She eventually told me the current US factory that has been making them "can't" make them anymore and they're looking for a factory oversees to make them but no luck yet.

Guess I need to look for another slip on snake boot brand.

What an absolute shame. I guess those American workers are out of a job.

Trying to buy American is getting tougher and tougher.

It will only get worse in the next 10 years with advancements in automation. Unemployment is going to be a bigger issue than it already is.

Last time I was in Los Cazadores they had a pretty large inventory. Might have to pick up another pair. I bought a new pair in September and they usually last me about 5 years.

Run around the corner to Mumme's and save yourself a few bucks. I was in there over the weekend and they have a good selection with more reasonable prices than LC.

Isn't it crazy? Eventually, automation will take over completely and there won't be anyone with the money to buy the products being sold.

That's what mine are. The leather where its stitched by the insole tore. Very little wear on these boots. Big disappointment.

that disappointing for the cost. I'll have to look and see who else has that same style. Pretty crappy they can't warranty them for you right now

Wait till Dementia Joe removes the current imposed tariff's on Europe and China creating a huge flood of steel, aluminum, cheap knock-offs, and Chinese goods into the US. American product manufacturing companies are in some serious trouble.
