Managed to get out today in the heat from 2 to 5. Struggled at first but found them in the last spot on timber hugging the bottom around 20 to 22 ft. Left em biting! All CPR'd today. Crappie cakes for dinner tonight courtesy of Slew's expertise last Sunday.

PSA! Don’t go to lake Fork this weekend! I was supposed to be at D’Arbonne so didn’t even think about the Sealy tourney this Friday through Sunday! Hurricane changed our reservations from Sunday to Tuesday so I screwed up and booked Friday and Sat! Got them moved to Oct! Waiting on my trip to show up at LOP! Haven’t been here in a couple months! I’m ready!!

Next weekend! Not this weekend! Pines was stingy but they had 30 big azz crappie in timber. Lots would load up the rod and then not be there.

Added a Jenko hypersense 11ft rod to the arsenal. $20 quantum optix is my favorite bargain reel. Rod quality feels awesome. Look forward to testing it out on the water slinging some slabs!

Only fished a couple hours today but they had 25 good ones! No wind and spooky fish make it tough. Healthy looking fish for Sept! Hard to beat NE Tx crappie fishing!
