Had every last piece of hunting equipment I own stolen. My wife and I have some land in southern Oklahoma and we have a camper out there. We just dug a water line ourselves, got electricity turned on....the plan is to retire there when we are finished teaching.

We have a few cows out there. The person that feeds them for us showed up yesterday to feed and our camper door was wide open. The got in through a window and stole both sets of my golf clubs. One set I just bought off Facebook Marketplace. Haven't even used them yet. Stole the bow I was borrowing, it was my buddies....he was letting me try it out. Stole my case, my arrows...everything I owned. Even took my wife's work clothes.

I should have listened to my wife when she said put a camera on our driveway....our driveway is a mile long dead end road. One way in, and one way out.

I guess i'm lucky i've never had anything stolen before....this is a first....but I feel absolutely sick. Sick for my buddy who loaned me one of his bows....sick you can't trust your stuff on your own land. 2020 can absolutely suck it.

I would board up the window, and haul a bunch of new stuff out there.
Then I would wait.

I had the same sort of thing happen to me. They didn't take my dishes but all my hunting stuff I had left in the trailer.

Man I'm sorry about that. That's rough. When we bought our place in Southern Oklahoma the locals told us "Fences don't mean much around here. You just gotta know that if you're gonna be in these parts". At least they were honest I guess.

You ( we all) need to get those one way windows. The ones that close on them and don’t let go, until they are found dead and removed. Thieves suck !

We've had issues at our place in Southeastern Ok too. I grew up way out in the woods in East Tx so I'm used to some outlaw stuff but there's some sketchy folks up on the mountain where our property is. An old man that lives near our property told me I would have issues with trespassers and bears lol.
