Who did you use for the trans adapter and trans tuning? Fuel/air mods? I see a Borg Warner turbo...As long as it has a p-pump, he'll have all the fuel it needs. I would suggest bumping the timing a few degrees. What alternator did he use, Dodge or Ferd? Nice work, young man!
Yes it has a p-pump, stock timing on these engines on Ford 750’s are 12 degrees we bumped it up to 16 degrees, we used the Ford 140 amp alternator. We used the Diesel Conversion Specialists transmission adapter kit for the install and they did the tuning also.

Cool thread OP, would love more photo's if they exist. Congrats to your son.
Will try to post more pics, and the 6.0 is unbelievably reliable when the problems corrected. Ive got the 6.0 in my work truck and wouldn’t hesitate to drive to Alaska and back in it, if not bulletproofed correctly I would be scared to drive to town. lol

Looks awesome! I’ve got a 98 12v that’s probably putting out 500-600hp pretty solid motors.

Thanks! If we wouldn’t have to wait for parts to come in probably can do in a few weeks, but been slowly working on it since the beginning of October.

Question. I know it came out of a Ford. Did you have to use an adaptor plate for the transmission?

I saw a couple of “ young bucks” in a garage coming back from Port A that had a “built” engine hanging that made me think of this post. I recognize the valve covers and thought I should try this some day!

Awesome build, even more awesome that you’re son and you built it together. If you don’t mind me asking how much ( ballpark) do you think you have in it ?
